BUILD STRENGTH, POWER & ENDURANCE

 

 

Progressively strengthening the body is a key element to injury rehab, prevention and performance. 

What and how you strengthen can depend on:

  • you goals (ie. stronger through turns, stronger paddling, return to surfing after injury)

  • your specific limitations and weaknesses. The assessment process can identify where you need to move better as well as what muscle groups you would benefit from strengthening the most.  

Although strengthening and mobility are often worked on separately, you can actually achieve amazing mobility changes while doing your strength exercises. The key is knowing which exercises to focus on for you individual needs.

Building strength can also incorporate elements of power, speed, and endurance/
